Axxess Telecom Adds Systems Engineer and Public Relations Director

JACKSONVILLE-Axxess Telecom has added two new staff members: Ed Bides, Systems Engineer and Stephanie McLain Barker, Director of Public Relations.

Mr. Bides has been in the telecommunications business for 17 years and in the data business for 10. He will be responsible for the installation and programming of AltiGen telecommunications equipment for Axxess. He is Nortel Certified for Key systems and a Microsoft Certified Professional. He also has experience with Avaya and Sprint systems. An avid volleyball player, Mr. Bides was born in the Philippines and raised in the U.S. He lives with his wife of 10 years, Delia (Dale), stepson Jeff and their four dogs.

Ms. Barker is responsible for internal and external public relations, media relations and communications planning. Immediately prior to joining Axxess, Ms. Barker worked as communications coordinator for the Jacksonville Transportation Authority. Previously, she served as Public Relations Counselor at the former Cook Marketing Communications and as Advertising and Promotions Manager for the Adam's Mark Hotel. Ms. Barker was graduated from the University of North Florida. She and husband, Jepsy (Bill), have two college-aged children, Ryan and Erin.
